| Surah Al-Inshiqaq (Splitting Asunder of the Sky) Chapter 84 It is 25 Verses 1 Unit (Ruku’): Revealed at Makkah In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful 1. When the sky is split asunder, 2. And obeys (Allah) its Lord and it must do so. 3. And when the earth is flattened out, 4. And casts forth what is in it and becomes empty, 5. And obeys (Allah) its Lord and it must do so. 6. O man! Surely you are laboring toward (Allah) your Lord with (great) exertion and will meet it (the results of your deeds). 7. Then as to him who is given his record in his right hand, 8. He will be reckoned with an easy Reckoning; 9. And he will return to his people joyful. 10. And as to him who is given his record behind his back, 11. He will cry out for destruction (death), 12. And enter into a blazing Fire. 13. Surely he was joyful among his people. 14. Surely he thought that he would never return (to Allah). 15. But yes! Surely his Lord (Allah) was ever Watchful of him. 16. So I (Allah) swear by the twilight of the sunset, 17. And by the night and that which it gathers in its darkness, 18. And by the moon when it becomes full, 19. That you shall most certainly enter one state after another. 20. But what is the matter with them that they do not believe (in Allah and His Messenger Muhammad)? 21. And when the Qur’an is recited to them they do not prostrate (nor submit to its Commandments)? 22. But those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Revelations) deny the Truth. 23. And Allah knows best what they keep secret (in their chests), 24. So announce to them a painful Torment, 25. Except those who believe (in Allah, His Angels, His Scriptures, His Messengers, the Last Day, and Predestination) and do righteous good deeds; for them is a Reward that will never be cut off and will never dimini |
