A Comparison between Islam, Christianity and Judaism,
according to modern science.
It is manifestly clear the major errors that Judaism and Christianity fall into when discussing modern science and what the Old and New Testaments say Islam however is in complete synchronization and is able to embrace modern science, in many case there have been miracles in the Quran which have only been unraveled by time many only recently.
Below are but a few demonstration of the flawed contradictory reports found in the Bible and examples of where modern science bears witness to the credibility and authenticity of the Quran.
1- The Age of the Earth.
One reads in Genesis from the Old Testament: that God created the Earth on the first day, then the sun on the fourth day, the human on the sixth day, and that there is no specific period between the age of the Earth and the time humans have spent therein.
We find the time separating the creation of Adam and the birth of Jesus, according to the Hebrew 4004 years, according to the Samaritan version 4700 years and according to the Greek version 5872. According to the Catholics the number stands at around 5000 years.
Add to that number the 2000 years approximately since Jesus you have the number 7000 years this is because according to Genesis there is no fixed time between the age of the Earth and the length of time humans have been on the Earth.
And so you see a clear contradiction as scientist say the age of the Earth and solar bodies are actually 4550 million years and not the 7000 years the Jews and the Christians claim.
This difference is clearly incorrect between the time gaps.
2- The shape of the Earth.
One finds descriptions in the Bible of the earth having corner:
Isaiah 11:12
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH. (KJV)
Revelation 7:1
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. (KJV)
Matthew 4:8
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; (KJV)
The Bible claims that Earth has four ends and four corners. Nobody can ever think a ball or a cycle to have corners and ends! Only flat items can have corners and ends, and this is exactly what the bible is trying to express regarding the shape of the earth. The earth is not flat, as once thought and it has no corners or ends at all.
It goes against logic and modern day science it would not have been possible to see the Earth as it is a spherical shape to be accurate an oval shape.
So looking at it from above could never show all of its kingdoms as a part will always remain unseen, this is the nature of spherical things.
Even though some tried to explain it away by saying it mean the four direction the English translation clearly states 4 corners.
We find mention of the four directions in (Chronicles I 9:24)
We find examples of tampering taking place even till today in the bible look how in the following verse the word circular was added in the Arabic translation to try and claim a scientific miracle.
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 40:22)"
This verse doesn't suggest that the Earth is round. It actually suggests that the Earth has a circle object. "the circle of the earth" is pretty much self-explanatory: It is the circle that belongs to or is owned by the Earth.
The Quran does not require for the addition of some translator for its scientific miracles, and goes a few steps further:
Allah says:
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again? (The Troops Verse 5)
In this verse is a clear indication of the spherical nature of the earth as the night overlaps and turns in to the day.
Allah also says:
30. And after that He spread the earth; (Those Who Drag Forth Verse 30)
By using the Arabic word from ‘Dahhiyah’ the ostrich’s egg it is a linguistic as well as a scientific miracle.
This is exactly what modern day science has discovered that the earth is not actually spherical is oval like the shape of an egg completely.
As previously alluded to we shall make mention of some of the scientific miracle of the Quran.
Allah says:
With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof. (The Winnowing Winds Verse 47)
These verses were perhaps taken on face value years ago by those who first heard it, they thought perhaps that the one who created the vast heavens is able to increase it in vastness.
However in the 21st Century one is able to determine the star, and its temperature, its speed, its orbit and its solar system all from the speed of its light.
By analyzing these various light and there speed scientist are able to determine that they are moving away from each other at neck breaking speeds of up to 300,000 kilometers a second and if that is the case the universe must be expanding.
So clearly this one verse in its simplicity demonstrate how amazing this Quran is than in a couple of words you have one of the most sophisticated scientific an linguistic miracles.
This proved beyond doubt that this could not have been from the making of man and must have been from the creator of man Allah.
